Pickelhaube Miniatures is located on the Gold Coast - Southport, the South-East of Australia, in Queensland.. German born Matthias Vogel, the man behind the yet small family-owned business, begun sculpting in mid of August 2002, and started to display his figures in November 2002. Since then his skill and range of figures has grown.

Production quantity is limited due to the fact that all miniatures, including Flags, are handmade on-site, not in China or contracted out for manufacturing. We were not be able to take any orders from late 2006 until May 2009. Assambeling is done by soldering all parts together, no glue is used. It is very time consuming, but the end-result is from paramount importance, we do not like ' shortcuts ' !

All figurines are sculpted from Milliput which is available in most hobby shops. Simple tools are used, for example: Toothpicks, Sandpaper, Hobby Knife and paintbrush.
